La Vanessa de République de Chiffon (encore et encore) est vraiment un modèle que j’aime coudre, je l’ai déjà réalisée plusieurs fois avec des modifications femme-enceinte, mais maintenant j’en voulais une vraie, sans modifications de patron.

The dress Vanessa from République du Chiffon (yep ! one more…) is really a pattern I like to sew, I have already done the Vanessa several times with woman-pregnant adaptations, but now I wanted a real one, without pattern modifications.

Je m’étais acheté un tissu vert « TRES vert prairie » composé de 62 % de polyester, 32 % de viscose et 6% de spandex, et c’est un tissu vraiment confortable, un beau tombé, un peu épais, légèrement stretch, de la tenue, et sous le pied de la MAC, cela se coud si facilement qu’une fois qu’on a cousu ce tissu, on a envie d’acheter toutes les couleurs… (déjà réalisé en marine pour ma robe Brune).

I bought a green fabric « VERY meadow green » composed of 62% polyester, 32% viscose and 6% spandex, and it is a really comfortable fabric, a beautiful fell, a little thick, slightly stretch, and so easy to sew…After you’ve tried this fabric, you want to buy all the colors … (already made in navy for my dress Brune).

La Vanessa offre le choix de 2 versions, l’une avec un empiècement droit et l’autre avec un empiècement en triangle. J’ai choisi l’empiècement droit, ce qui se combinerait mieux avec mes choix de tissu.

The Vanessa pattern offers 2 versions, one with a straight yoke and the other with a triangle yoke. I chose the right yoke, which would combine best with my fabric choices.

Pour l’empiècement, j’avais trouvé un tout petit coupon (qui coûtait une fortune au mètre au rayon ameublement) bien assorti au vert de mon tissu.

For the yoke, I found a very small coupon (which cost a fortune per meter…) well matched to the green of my fabric.

 

Mais le tissu d’ameublement était assez rêche, je ne me voyais pas faire une finition au biais et porter ce tissu à même la peau. J’ai donc acheté un voile de coton coordonné pour doubler les empiècements devants et dos.

But this fabric was rather rough, I didn’t want to finish the neckline by a bias and wearing this fabric on the skin. So I bought a coordinated light cotton to double the front and back yokes.

Et voilà le résultat ! Une robe qui sent le printemps et qui fait du bien après l’hiver !
